Confirm your anti-virus status

This trick is used to check antivirus activity. If you feel that your antivirus software is not working well then you can confirm it by using this trick.

Blogger has introduced another new and very useful feature - custom permalinks for blogger posts. Now you can use SEO friendly custom URL for blogger posts. Also most importantly there is not 39 character limit further with this blogger custom permalinks.
To create your own URL for a specific post, simply click "permalink" and select "Custom URL", and enter your customURL in the field given. If you wrote the post in July of 2012, your new URL will look like this:

The red colored bolded area is the portion of the URL that is customizable.
If the custom permalink you entered already exists, Blogger will attempt find a free one for you.

   Sell Your Crap.  One of the best things you can do to earn a few quick bucks is sell all the useless stuff you have sitting around your house. If you are thinking “nobody is gonna want this” you are wrong. You know the saying “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”? Something that you might find useless and old, someone else might want. So how do you find buyers for your stuff? The easiest way is to do it online, to do it the right way I suggest you check out Adam Backer’s “Sell Your Crap.” It’s a great guide that can help you sell your unwanted things online. It includes 4 ebooks and shows you how to sell your stuff on top online websites such as ebay, Craigslist and Amazon.

    Paid Testing: You can be a paid tester. Medical companies, cosmetics developers and others pay testers to try products and treatments. For some studies, you might have to meet certain requirements. Also, if it is a long study, it may take longer for you to get your money. Look for shorter studies. You can search “paid medical studies” and you will see a list of clinics, testing companies and paid focus group opportunities.

    Plasma Donation: Blood plasma is in relatively high demand. 0 Nice use of Pinterest

I am a Pinterest addict.  I love it.  It's both inspiration and slightly ridiculous.  But most of all, it's a collection of images that represent how I think, how I feel and what I wish for (recently, it's mostly what I wish for -- seriously, have you seen my imaginary multi-million dollar home?).

As a Pinterest addict, it may be with a bit of bias that I say Wright State's use of the program is interesting, but I'll stand by it.  When I worked in college admissions the most frequent question I got from parents and students alike was "what makes you different from the 10 other small liberal arts colleges within an hour of here?"  You can point to all the facts and figures you like, but in the end it comes down to a feeling.  A fit.  And that's something at which Pinterest excels.

The Wright State University Housing Services has put together a series of boards at http://pinterest.com/wsuhousing/ that cover everything from campus fashion to res hall friendly recipes.  My only wish is that they used pin descriptions as a chance to give the school or the student(s)/staff writing it a unique voice.  In a few characters, they could easily connect back to the unique Wright State experience by describing how those things are uniquely "them."

If only this had been thought up by admissions rather than Housing Services.  It seems like a great way to answer that nagging question at the end of an on-campus interview...
